Job Description

The Company invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for the MRM Learner Official Program. The purpose of the program is to develop competent Mining Technical Services, Officials through a structured institutional and workplace-based training in line with regulatory and operational requirements.

These roles are in 3 different disciplines Ventilation, Survey and Rock Engineering.

3x Ventilation– Design and maintains the ventilation system to ensure adequate airflow to all working areas
3x Survey– Conduct accurate measurements of underground and surface workings to determine positions, distances and levels
3x Rock Engineering– Evaluates the strength and behavior of rock masses to ensure excavations stability, design and recommend support systems.

Number of positions:

9 x External Candidates from Amandebult Beneficiary Communities.
This will be a 24-month structured training program

Qualifications:

Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
English, Mathematics and Physical Science (Compulsory)
Minimum of 50% for Mathematics and Physical Science
Minimum of 60% for English
Medically fit to work in a mining environment
No criminal record

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in structured training and development program
Complete logbooks and required assessments
Gain practical exposure in relevant mining sections
Adherent to safety standards and operational procedures
Undergo training and development initiatives in line with the training program

Strong commitment to safety
Commitment to learn and develop
Good communication and team player skills
Ability to work under pressure

Additional requirements (Beneficiary communities):

Must originate from recognized local communities for Amandebult
Proof of residence (Letter from Traditional Authority/ Municipality)

Job Description: Cadet Process Learnership Opportunity At Valterra Platinum

As a Cadet Process Learner, you will be supporting the company’s teams in performing the following duties:

Manual operation of equipment, which includes operating of valves, manual sampling as well as stopping the operation if working conditions are unsafe.

Support team members if they require assistance.

Perform inspections on plant and equipment.

Carry out basic operational procedures as required/directed and follow instructions from supervisors carefully

Apply open two-way communication.

Maintain good housekeeping

Adhere to and improved safety standards

Participate in safety meetings

Start and stop equipment where required.

Identify hazards and threats to the process proactively

Complete data logging and reporting to standard

This role is at a B2 level reporting to the Process Supervisor.
