Job Purpose: Personal Assistant For Western Cape Government

The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) suitably qualified and competent individuals to render a secretarial support service to a senior manager(s).

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 (a certificate of completion should be provided); A minimum of 3 years’ experience in rendering secretarial/ administrative support services to management/ senior management.

Key Performance Areas

Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the manager; Render an administrative support service; Provide support to the senior manager regarding meetings; Support the senior manager with the administration of the budget; Analyse the relevant public service and departmental prescripts/ policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.

Competencies

Knowledge of the following: General Support; Financial Support; Record keeping; Relevant policies and procedures. Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Communication skills (written and verbal); Good interpersonal and decision-making skills; Planning and Organising; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration: R 325 101 R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
