Purpose of role

To support the HR Ops team by providing administrative and operational assistance in the day to day of the HR ops team in Takealot Group. The People/HRl Intern will gain exposure to hr operations, functions and systems while assisting with day-to-day People/HR activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:Matric/Grade 12 certificateCompleted N6 in HR or any other similar qualification

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong data capturing and administration skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the applicable legislation, such as BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.
  • Understanding of principles and procedures for HR related functions, such as recruitment, training, benefits, labour relations, etc.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Filing
  • Scanning documents
  • HR Administration (assistance with preparation of HR documents, labour broker change forms)
  • Management of the onboarding process
  • Supporting the HR and business with employee queries
  • HR Systems Administration (Axio, Intranet, The hub, Greenhouse)
  • Payroll Administration (UI-19, Confirmation of employment, IRP5 etc)
  • HR Communication (new starter emails)
  • Assisting with CCMA case
  • Assistance with HR Projects

This is a contract position as part of the Internship Programme.
