JOB PURPOSE: Unilever South Africa In-Service Trainee (Quality) Supply Chain Programme
To assist with the quality assurance service to the business so that products produced by the company are fit for use by the consumers according to Company’s specifications and standards.
To drive zero defect culture within the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
- Carry out on-line trouble shooting to identify product quality issues and generating of NCA in the event that quality defects are identified.
- Carry out monthly checks discarding retention samples that are older than the specified retention period plus one-month.
- Maintain an environment of 5s within retention storage area.
- Participate in taste panels as approved tester and make decisions on status of products in terms of acceptance or rejection. (Mandatory that person does not smoke due to the negative effect this has on sensory evaluation which is a key component of the job)
- Retrieval of samples from retention location and setting-up against Customer complaint sample and preparing all the necessary forms for evaluation.
- Evaluating customer complaints against standards and completing evaluation documentation.
- Prepare and write reports for consumer services team regarding investigated complaints
- Review of ex-factory CRQS data, entry onto SAP and trend and analyse reports
- Trending and analysing of CRQS EOLAS reports
- Lead problem solving kaizens derived from Q prioritization matrix to obtain zero defects.
Administrative
- Daily filling of all reports/forms as listed below·
- Retention Sample Register and generating of NCA’s.
- Weekly reporting consumer/customer complaints
- Kaizen review and archiving of documentation to take place every two months.
- Interact with QC technicians ensuring that information regarding non-conformance is logged and addressed.
- Interact with production in the communications of quality problems identified in the packing process (during shift handovers)
- Run all consumer and customer complaint investigations and generates reports for CEC feedback.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Matric with Maths & Physical Science Working towards Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or Biotechnology S4 (Completing or in final year)Requiring 1-year in-service training
- Candidates need to provide their Matric Certificate and Academic Transcript with their CV’s Basic computer literacy, i.e.: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preffered:
- Atleast 0-1 years’ experience
- Fully Operational in WCM QC tools and methodology
- Working Knowledge of HACCP and GMP’s.
- Working Knowledge of OHS act and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to analyze data and information
