About Senwes Grainlink South Africa

Senwes Grainlink is the grain-handling and market-access division of Senwes, one of South Africa’s established agricultural businesses. The division operates between agricultural producers and grain buyers, helping move grain and oilseeds from farms to millers, processors, traders, and other off-takers. Its services support the agricultural value chain by connecting farmers to storage facilities, markets, transport, and buyers.

The business provides grain procurement, transport, intake, handling, drying, cleaning, storage, marketing, and electronic silo certificates. Senwes Grainlink has an extensive silo network across South Africa’s summer- and winter-grain production areas, with total storage capacity of approximately 6.5 million tonnes. This infrastructure helps producers store their crops safely and gives grain buyers more reliable access to raw materials at the right time and place.

Senwes Grainlink also provides market-access solutions designed to help producers and buyers make informed decisions about grain sales, stock management, pricing, delivery, and logistics. Its work is important to South Africa’s food-security system because efficient grain storage and movement can reduce losses, improve supply planning, and support the continued operation of mills and food-processing businesses. Through its combination of agricultural infrastructure, logistics, market knowledge, and technology, Senwes Grainlink plays a significant role in taking grain from the farm gate to the mill door.
