POSITION STATUS : 12 – Months – Fixed Term Contract (Internal & External)

Purpose of the job: To efficiently serve food and beverages in line with acceptable hygienic standards to SITA employees.

Key Responsibility Areas

• To prepare food according to the menu cycle and function requests. (Salad & pasta area, Preparation area,
  Sandwich area & Function area).
• Ensure timeous delivery and serving of food items.
• Do daily portion control and sample/ retention plates.
• Assist in meal service to customers: Function delivery, Front counters service & Kiosk.
• Adherent to Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum: Matric.
Experience: 0 – 1 year experience applicable to the specified discipline. Understand the basic theoretical reasoning and detailed practical applications behind the process or system

Knowledge of: Food nutrition and beverage Good financial skills Knowledge of HACCP computer literacy Knowledge of legislation ( OHSA) Cleaning chemicals Equipment and tools for cooking Event management Understanding of SITA, its business operations. Consumables Knowledge of Catering Production methods.
