Glencore is currently accepting applications for students who need to complete work integrated learning to assist in obtaining their Business Administration qualification.  It will be located in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

Glencore Coal SA Work Integrated Learning Program

As a successful candidate, you will follow a structured program comprising of:

  • A fixed term contract for the duration of the Work Integrated Learning;
  • Exposure to the various administrative aspects within the Company in line with the requirements of the Tertiary Institution.

To be eligible for the Work Integrated Learning Program, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Studying towards a National Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Outstanding academic record.
  • Preference will be given to applicants residing in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located (Nkangala District of the Mpumalanga province – proof of residence to be submitted with application.

Glencore South Africa is a major division of Glencore, operating as one of the country’s leading producers and marketers of thermal coal and ferroalloys.

Core Operations

  • Coal Division: Operates key coal complexes including Goedgevonden, iMpunzi, and Tweefontein, supplying thermal coal for domestic power generation (such as Eskom) and international export.
  • Ferroalloys Division: Produces chrome ore, ferrochrome, vanadium, and manganese, with active mines and smelters centered in the North West and Limpopo provinces.
  • Other Interests: Holds stakes in oil operations through Astron Energy and participates in local community and economic development programs.
