Minimum requirements: Applicants must be in a possession of a Grade 10 Certificate (NQF Level 3) or relevant equivalent qualifications. Job related skills: Communication (verbal and written). Good interpersonal relations. Ability to organise. Ability to use electrical and hand tools. Ability to work independently.

Duties

Provide assistance in the maintenance of facilities, vehicles and equipment. Maintain team vehicle and caravan at all times. Maintain the stores tents at all times. Maintain tools at all times. Relocate camp when required. Repair, clean service and safe keeping of equipment and tools according to standards. Ensure the safety storage, cleaning and routine maintenance of implements. Ensure the timely reporting of defects to mechanical workshop in order to prevent further damage. Assist with dispensing and receiving of fuels and oils.

Shortlisted
applicants for the advertised vacancies will undergo two pre-entry assessments: a practical assessment and an integrity assessment, both of which form part of the selection criteria after the interview.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. NB: Please note that false or fraudulent qualifications submitted by applicants will be reported to the South African Police Services (SAPS), and a criminal case shall be opened.
