Its main business is the Clicks brand, which has grown into one of the country’s leading health, beauty and wellness retailers, with more than 1,000 stores and approximately 790 in-store pharmacies. The group also uses digital platforms to support services such as online shopping, home delivery and in-store collection.
Although many people know Clicks for toiletries, cosmetics and everyday wellness products, the group’s healthcare operations are central to its business. Clicks pharmacies provide prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, professional advice and selected primary healthcare services. Its pharmaceutical wholesaler, United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD), supplies medicines and healthcare products to retail pharmacies, private hospitals, dispensing doctors and other healthcare outlets across South Africa.
Clicks Group also operates several complementary brands and businesses, including Sorbet’s professional beauty salons, The Body Shop under a franchise arrangement, and UniCare, a specialised pharmacy business offering services such as diabetic care, travel health and wound management. The group’s Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme has millions of active members, strengthening its relationship with customers through rewards and personalised offers. Through its retail stores, pharmacies, wholesale network and digital services, Clicks Group plays a significant role in making health, beauty and wellness products more accessible to South Africans.
