Qualifications & Experience

  • N6 in Human Resources Management (completed)
  • No prior work experience required — this is an entry-level internship

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong data capturing and administration skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of applicable SA labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA)
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements and POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act)
  • Understanding of HR functions: recruitment, training, benefits, labour relations
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Understanding of Learning & Development processes (training coordination, skills development planning, tracking of learning interventions)
  • Knowledge of Skills Development Act and Skills Development Levies Act (SDA/SDLA), and basic understanding of SETA/WSP-ATR submission processes
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule training sessions and maintain training records/registers
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or willingness to learn one

Key Responsibilities

  • Filing
  • Scanning documents
  • HR administration 
  • Management of the onboarding process
  • Supporting the HR team and business with employee queries
  • HR systems administration (Axio, Intranet, The Hub, Greenhouse)
  • Payroll administration (UI-19, confirmation of employment, IRP5, etc.)
  • HR communication (new starter emails)
  • Assistance with HR/L&D projects
  • Coordinating training logistics (scheduling, venue/resource booking, attendee communication)
  • Maintaining training records, registers, and the L&D training calendar
  • Assisting with tracking of learning interventions and skills development plans
  • Supporting preparation of SETA submissions (WSP/ATR)
  • Assisting with L&D administration on the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Supporting coordination of onboarding-related training and induction sessions

This is an 18 month contract
