Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Business Degree or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a research environment
- Proven track record in research and analysis
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide an effective research and advisory service to allocated both MMC and Chairpersons as well as members of Caucus in general
- Strategic capability and leadership to enhance Departmental accountability and Oversight Committee functions of oversight and scrutiny
- Conduct research to develop and implement innovative ideas and solutions that add value to the organisation
- Research, benchmark, analyse and make recommendations on best practices, enabling continuous improvement and Departmental accountability
- Develop, monitor and report on research benchmarks for Local Government
- Constantly monitor the integrity and quality of data to ensure that the correct information is fed back to business and practice owners
- Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements
- Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk
- Provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers
