Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) is Hiring for x10 Internships: Different Fields of Study
The Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) is a statutory council, established in terms of Section 37 of the Labour Relations Act, No 66 of 1995 as amended. It operates in the Public Education Sector, providing services to the Department of Basic Education, Trade Unions and educators in the interest of the South African Public.
The ELRC’s primary objective is to: • Promote and maintain labour peace in education • Prevent and resolve labour disputes in education • Promote collective bargaining in relation to matters of mutual interest.
The ELRC invites suitably qualified and unemployed South African graduates to apply for the following Internship Programme for a period of twenty-four (24) months
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Be unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- Hold the relevant National Diploma or Degree from a recognised institution.
- Have not previously participated in a graduate internship programme funded
by a SETA or government department. - Possess good communication, interpersonal and computer literacy skills.
- Be willing to work at the ELRC Head Office in Centurion

- Planning and organisational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professionalism, integrity and a willingness to learn.
Internship Duration and Stipend: The internship programme will run for twenty-four (24) months. Successful
candidates will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with the ETDP SETA funding guidelines and ELRC Policy

- A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- Certified copies of qualifications;
- Certified copy of South African Identity Document; and
- Where applicable, an academic record.
